Face painting and more in Northern Ireland

Safety is important so all the paints we use are made with cosmetically approved ingredients. They are non-toxic and fully compliant with EU & FDA toy and cosmetic regulations. On rare occasions, allergies can occur.

Brenda, the owner of Facetastic, is a member of FACE - The Face Painting Association which has strict codes of practice and guidelines.  All members of the Facetastic team, although not members of the association, adhere to the same codes of practice.

Parental permission must be given before we can apply paints.

We reserve the right to refuse to paint faces if we feel that it would not be safe to do so (eg if the client has chickenpox, cold sores, other skin conditions etc).

We will not paint any child who does not want to be painted. The recommended age is 3+ years old.   At my discretion, we will offer to paint a design on the arm or hand instead of the face.

We do not paint flags, football club emblems or anything which could cause offence.

We have had background checks completed by the Criminal Records Bureau which has given approval for us to work with children.

We have public liability insurance up to £5m.

Each face takes approx 6 minutes to complete.......some are quicker and some take longer......so please consider this when booking.  This is standard for facepainting.

We adhere to strict hygiene codes by providing clean sponges for each face and cleaning any brushes used between clients.

We can offer you flexible booking terms so as you can plan your costs effectively. You can choose between paying an hourly rate for my services, or a “no outlay” plan where we charge per face. There is also the compromise where you pay my hourly rate and we charge a nominal rate for each painting and at the end of the event you get all the money taken.

The temporary tattoos are water resistant once dry, so will not come off in the bath or shower as long as it is not soaped or rubbed.  The inks are water based, & approved for cosmetic use. In the very unlikely event of irritation, wash the tattoo with warm soapy water immediately.

Glitter tattoos can last up to 7 days with care.  To remove they should be soaked in water and rubbed gently, or you could use baby oil, teatree wipes or alcohol wipes.
